After a busy couple weeks of broken water heaters, refrigerators, cars... etc. we hit the road under cloudy skies at 10:15 on Monday morning. Sara took the first leg driving and got us into South Dakota. The sun broke through the clouds and we made good time to the Badlands for our first night, arriving well before sunset.
